I was tasked with designing the promotional materials for Visions 2022, the juried exhibition held by Fitchburg State University to showcase student works from the Communications Media Department.
In order to differ the design from past entries, I used my illustration skills as I hadn't seen past posters utilize drawn content before. I imagined, a lot of the communications media students attending take part in some artistic hobby, whether it be drawing, sculpting, or anything else.
Fun fact, the melting bust in the poster is a jab at people obsessed with white statues who go on to harass researchers that uncover painted statues, like those in Greece and Rome. Oh, and the arms a reference to one of the toys in Sid's room from Toy Story.
